Unauthenticated code execution via crafted upload race
Published Nov 19, 2024 · Updated Nov 21, 2024
Race condition in Weaver e-cology 9.* allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code through a crafted uploaded filename. The /inventory/doCptimpoptInventory upload handler processes a crafted filename across an unsynchronized race window, allowing the payload to bypass upload security checks. No authentication or user interaction is required, and successful exploitation grants code execution with the server process's privileges.
