Authenticated local resource disclosure via unrestricted URL fetch
Published Nov 4, 2024 · Updated Nov 6, 2024
SSRF in Gradio 4.42.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read local resources through a crafted DownloadButton URL. The gr.DownloadButton path passes its URL to save_url_to_cache without restricting the scheme or destination, so the server retrieves local or internal content. Low-privilege application access and a reachable DownloadButton are required; successful requests disclose fetched content without altering it.
