Subscriber-level settings modification via missing capability checks
Published Nov 1, 2024 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Missing authorization in CubeWP Framework 1.1.15 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to modify settings and export data. The cwp_user_fields_data_callback and cwpform_save_shortcode functions accept requests without capability checks, permitting operations reserved for higher-privileged roles. Subscriber-level access is required; successful exploitation changes plugin configuration or discloses exported data, without reported code execution or service interruption.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
