Privilege escalation via privileged untrusted search path
Published Nov 12, 2024 · Updated Nov 22, 2024
Privilege escalation in Ivanti Connect Secure before 22.7R2.3 and Policy Secure before 22.7R1.2 allows local users to gain higher privileges. Affected binaries retain excessive privileges while resolving resources through an untrusted search path, so attacker-controlled code runs with those privileges. Exploitation requires authenticated local access and does not affect 9.1Rx; Ivanti has not disclosed the binary names or trigger sequence.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
