Local privilege escalation via PVRSRVDeviceServicesOpen use-after-free
Published Jan 31, 2025 · Updated Mar 18, 2025
Use-after-free in Imagination Technologies Graphics DDK 1.17 RTM through 24.3 RTM2 allows local users to trigger kernel exceptions. The PVRSRVDeviceServicesOpen path mishandles object lifetime during improper GPU system calls, leaving kernel code to access freed memory. Non-privileged local software can reach the flaw without user interaction; Android classifies the issue as elevation of privilege.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
