Platform reboot via off-by-one GPU buffer write
Published Jan 13, 2025 · Updated Jan 13, 2025
An out-of-bounds write in Graphics DDK 23.2 RTM2 through 24.2 RTM2 allows local users to reboot an affected platform via GPU system calls. An off-by-one error in PVRSRVRGXGetEnabledHWPerfBlocksKM writes beyond its intended buffer while processing an improper GPU system call. Non-privileged local execution is required, and successful exploitation destabilizes the platform and forces a reboot.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
