CVE-2024-47880Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Reflected XSS via attacker-controlled export content type

Published Oct 24, 2024 · Updated Oct 28, 2024

Reflected XSS in ExportRowsCommand in OpenRefine before 3.8.3 allows remote attackers to run JavaScript through a crafted form POST. The command accepts a request-supplied contentType, serves injected exporter output under that media type, and lacks a script-blocking policy. A malicious page must induce user interaction and know a project ID containing a row; successful script runs in OpenRefine's origin and can access or alter that user's projects.
