Subscriber-level content creation via missing capability check
Published Jun 6, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Missing authorization in Boostify Header Footer Builder for Elementor 1.3.5 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to create posts. The create_bhf_post function processes an authenticated creation request without verifying that the caller has permission to create the requested content. Subscriber-level access is sufficient, and successful exploitation writes attacker-chosen page or post content to the WordPress database.
