CVE-2024-47870Network attack vector

Traffic redirection via shared configuration race

Published Oct 10, 2024 · Updated Oct 11, 2024

Race condition in Gradio before 5.0.0 allows remote attackers to redirect frontend traffic to an attacker-controlled server. Concurrent requests cause route handlers to rewrite the shared Blocks configuration in place from an untrusted X-Forwarded-Host value, so another response can inherit the malicious root URL. A network-reachable app is required, and affected users can send credentials or uploaded files to the substituted backend.
