CVE-2024-47869Network attack vector

Analytics access via non-constant-time key comparison

Published Oct 10, 2024 · Updated Oct 11, 2024

Timing side channel in Gradio before 4.44 allows remote authenticated users to infer the monitoring key and access analytics. The analytics_dashboard route compares an attacker-controlled path key against app.analytics_key without constant-time behavior, so matching prefixes take measurably different time. Exploitation requires monitoring to be enabled and enough repeated requests to resolve timing differences; successful recovery exposes dashboard analytics.
