Web console hang via hidden debug buffer overflow
Published Dec 23, 2024 · Updated Dec 24, 2024
Buffer overflow in Sharp SH-52B, SH-54C, and HR02 firmware allows remote attackers on the local network to hang the web console. The concealed web interface exposes a debug function that copies oversized request data without enforcing the destination buffer's size. Reachability requires LAN access over Wi-Fi, USB, or Ethernet and knowledge unavailable through normal operation; the reported consequence is a router hang.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
