CVE-2024-4786

Device power-state denial via improper certificate validation

Published Jul 26, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024

Improper certificate validation in Lenovo Tab K10 allows local users to keep the device on through a specially crafted application. Lenovo identifies the validation class but has not disclosed the component or the certificate data that receives inadequate validation. A low-privileged local user and user interaction are required; the bounded effect is denial of service by preventing the tablet from leaving its on state.
