Privileged table deletion via missing CSRF checks
Published Oct 5, 2024 · Updated Oct 7, 2024
Cross-site request forgery in MediaWiki Cargo 3.6.x before 3.6.1 allows remote attackers to delete or switch Cargo tables. The Special:DeleteCargoTable and Special:SwitchCargoTable handlers accept crafted action links without validating an anti-CSRF token. Exploitation requires a logged-in victim with the deletecargodata and recreatecargodata rights to follow the link, after which Cargo data is deleted or a replacement table is activated.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
