CVE-2024-47826Network attack vector

Displayed-content alteration via unescaped extended search errors

Published Oct 14, 2024 · Updated Oct 15, 2024

HTML injection in Deltablot eLabFTW before 5.1.5 allows remote authenticated users to alter error content via extended search input. The experiments.php and database.php show views and search.php reflect the extended-search string into an alert error box without neutralizing HTML tags. Arbitrary JavaScript execution is blocked, and exploitation requires high privileges plus user interaction, limiting the consequence to injected markup in error output.
