Cache poisoning in Discourse before 3.3.2 allows remote attackers to impair anonymous pages through repeated XHR requests. The anonymous-cache key failed to distinguish case-insensitive XMLHttpRequest traffic from ordinary page requests, allowing a response without preloaded data to be stored for full-page delivery. No account or user interaction is required; requests must reach the enabled anonymous cache, and poisoned entries affect only anonymous visitors.
