CVE-2024-47761Network attack vector

Privileged account takeover via password-reset notification access

Published Dec 11, 2024 · Updated Dec 12, 2024

Improper authentication in GLPI 0.80 through 10.0.16 allows remote authenticated users to take over higher-privileged accounts. The vendor identifies the password-reset feature and exposure to sent-notification contents but does not disclose the faulty check or token-handling operation. Exploitation requires an administrator who can read sent notifications, and successful use grants control of an account with greater privileges.
