CVE-2024-47756

Kernel crash via faulty PCI bridge null check

Published Oct 21, 2024 · Updated May 23, 2026

NULL pointer dereference in Linux kernel PCI Keystone code allows local users to crash affected systems during PCI device setup. The ks_pcie_quirk() guard combines absent bridge-device and parent checks with &&, then dereferences bridge_dev->parent when either is missing. The path applies to matching AM6 PCI bridges, and exploitation requires local low-privileged access to an applicable system.
