Local privilege escalation via stale PFN mappings

Incomplete cleanup in Linux kernel memory management allows local users to read and write kernel memory through a failed device mmap(). On an allocation failure, remap_pfn_range() leaves partial page-table entries installed until later cleanup, after backing pages can be freed and reused. Access to an ordinary unprivileged device node and control of a memory-limit-induced allocation failure enable privilege escalation or a system crash.
