Missing authentication in the fgfmd daemon in Fortinet FortiManager allows remote attackers to execute commands through FGFM requests. The daemon accepts exploit commands from an unauthorized managed-device connection instead of enforcing device authentication. Network access to TCP port 541 and a usable Fortinet device certificate are required; observed attacks exfiltrated managed-device configurations and credentials.
