Corrupted firmware installation via improper integrity validation
Published Mar 14, 2025 · Updated Mar 14, 2025
Integrity-check validation failure in Fortinet FortiNDR allows remote authenticated users to install corrupted firmware on affected 7.x releases. The firmware-upload path fails to validate the image's integrity-check value before accepting it for installation. Affected ranges are 7.0.0 through 7.0.6, 7.1.0 through 7.1.1, 7.2.0 through 7.2.1, and 7.4.0 through 7.4.2; exploitation requires Read/Write system-maintenance permission and can compromise device integrity or availability.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
