Administrator token disclosure via REST API logs
Published Dec 9, 2025 · Updated Feb 26, 2026
Sensitive-data logging in Fortinet FortiOS, FortiProxy, FortiPAM, FortiSRA, and FortiSASE allows read-only administrators to obtain API tokens. When REST API logging records requests, the logger writes administrator API tokens into log entries instead of redacting them. A read-only administrator can inspect those entries only when the non-default REST API logging setting is enabled, exposing tokens that grant other administrators' API access.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
