CVE-2024-47560

Sandbox process execution via failed authorization detection

Published Oct 1, 2024 · Updated Oct 1, 2024

Incorrect authorization in RevoWorks Cloud Client 3.0.91 and earlier allows local users to execute unintended processes in its sandbox. The sandbox security engine fails to detect unauthorized processes, so its control against launching programs outside the allowed set is not enforced. Exploitation requires user interaction on a Windows client; resulting code remains sandboxed but can disclose sandbox data, alter its registry, or interrupt sandbox behavior.
