Application crash via unchecked ID3v2 frame pointer

Memory-safety errors in GStreamer gst-plugins-base before 1.24.10 allow attackers to crash applications via crafted ID3v2 files. The id3v2_frames_to_tag_list path calls id3v2_read_synch_uint with a null frame_data pointer, which the callee reads without validation. A GStreamer-consuming application must process a malicious file; successful exploitation terminates that application with a segmentation fault and does not grant data access or code execution.
