Application crash via unbounded environment-file read

Uncontrolled resource consumption in Netty before 4.1.115 allows local users to crash Java applications through oversized OS-release files. PlatformDependent probes Unix-style /etc/os-release and /usr/lib/os-release paths on Windows and reads an attacker-created file without a size bound, exhausting the JVM heap. A low-privileged Windows user who can create either path can trigger the crash when a Netty client or server starts; no confidentiality or integrity impact is reported.
