Browser script execution via unencoded group name
Published Oct 1, 2024 · Updated Oct 2, 2024
Stored cross-site scripting in LibreNMS 24.6.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript through a Device Group name. The Device Group detail view in includes/html/pages/devices.inc.php echoes device_group_name without HTML encoding, so stored markup is interpreted by the browser. Administrator access is required to create the group, and opening its detail page executes the payload in each viewer's session.
