Backup interception via unauthenticated key exchange
Published Jan 10, 2025 · Updated Jan 13, 2025
Key-exchange weakness in Arista Edge Threat Management 17.1.0 through 17.1.1 allows man-in-the-middle attackers to intercept backup uploads. The Configuration Backup application uploads to ETM through a key exchange that does not authenticate the remote entity. Exposure requires Configuration Backup to be installed and enabled; interception permits backup disclosure or alteration and can interrupt the upload.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
