Local device takeover via user-controlled authorization key
Published Oct 11, 2024 · Updated Oct 11, 2024
Authorization bypass in affected Junos OS Evolved releases allows local users with shell access to take over dual-RE devices. Juniper identifies a user-controlled authorization key but has not disclosed the affected component or how that key bypasses authorization. Exploitation requires an authenticated shell on a dual-Routing Engine device and grants full control of that device.
