Command execution via unneutralized CSV formulas
Published Oct 18, 2024 · Updated Mar 13, 2025
CSV injection in Hikvision HikCentral Master Lite 2.0.0 through 2.2.1 allows attackers to place executable formulas in exported CSV files. The CSV generation path writes attacker-controlled data as formula-capable cells without neutralizing spreadsheet control characters. Execution requires a user to open the generated file in a spreadsheet application, after which its formula can run commands in that user's context.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
