CVE-2024-47462Network attack vector

Authenticated command execution via arbitrary file creation

Published Nov 5, 2024 · Updated Nov 9, 2024

Arbitrary file creation in the AOS-8 and AOS-10 CLI allows remote authenticated users to execute commands on affected access points. HPE identifies the command-line interface as the affected locus but does not disclose the command, file path, or input-handling error that permits attacker-controlled file creation. Administrative privileges and network access to the CLI are required; successful file creation can lead to privileged command execution on the underlying operating system.
