CVE-2024-47449

Sensitive memory disclosure via out-of-bounds file read

Published Nov 12, 2024 · Updated Nov 13, 2024

Out-of-bounds read in Adobe Audition 23.6.9 and earlier and 24.4.6 and earlier allows attackers to read sensitive memory via crafted files. Adobe has not disclosed the affected parser or exact bounds-checking error; public records state only that opening a malicious file triggers an invalid read. The victim must open the file, after which exposed memory can weaken address-randomization protections; no integrity or availability impact is reported.
