Code execution via malicious file out-of-bounds write
Published Nov 12, 2024 · Updated Nov 16, 2024
Out-of-bounds write in Adobe Substance 3D Painter 10.1.0 and earlier allows attackers to execute code when a victim opens a malicious file. Adobe identifies the faulty operation as an out-of-bounds write but has not disclosed the affected parser, file format, or code path that writes beyond its allocated buffer. Exploitation requires user interaction and runs code only in the context of the current user, bounding the consequence to that account's privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
