Code execution via malicious-file stack overflow
Published Oct 9, 2024 · Updated Oct 9, 2024
Stack-based buffer overflow in Adobe Animate 23.0.7 and earlier and 24.0.4 and earlier allows attackers to execute code via a malicious file. Adobe identifies stack memory corruption during malicious-file processing but has not disclosed the affected parser, file format, or unchecked operation. Exploitation requires a local user to open the file, after which code runs with that user's privileges on Windows or macOS.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
