Unauthenticated user redirection via unvalidated login parameter
Published Oct 10, 2024 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Open redirect in wp.insider Simple Membership After Login Redirection 1.6 and earlier allows remote attackers to redirect users after login. The login-redirection flow accepts the swpm_redirect_to URL parameter and redirects to it without validating that its destination is trusted. Exploitation requires a user to follow a crafted link and complete login, after which the browser can be sent to an attacker-controlled site for phishing.
