Contributor-level code execution via path traversal
Published Oct 5, 2024 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Path traversal in Ex-Themes WP Timeline 3.6.7 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to include local PHP files using crafted paths. The published record does not identify the vulnerable function; pathname handling fails to neutralize crafted doubled triple-dot slash sequences before including a file. Contributor-level access is required, and inclusion can expose local data or execute PHP code already present on the server.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=0 <=3.6.7
