Path traversal in Synology Hyper Backup before 4.1.2-4036 allows remote authenticated users to write specific files through Backup Tasks. Backup Task processing does not keep a pathname within the intended restricted directory; Synology has not disclosed the affected handler or input. A valid DSM account and network access are required, and no ability to read files or interrupt the service is reported.
