CVE-2024-47259Network attack vector

Authenticated resource exhaustion via command-injected file transfers

Published Mar 4, 2025 · Updated Mar 28, 2025

Command injection in Axis Communications AB AXIS OS before 11.11.126 and before 12.2.52 allows remote authenticated users to exhaust resources. The dynamicoverlay.cgi VAPIX endpoint insufficiently validates input, allowing injected commands to initiate file transfers onto the device. An operator- or administrator-privileged service account is required, and transferred files can consume available system resources.
