Buffer overflow in Apache NimBLE through 1.7.0 allows physically proximate attackers to corrupt memory via crafted Bluetooth Mesh messages. The gen_prov_cont function in pb_adv.c copies untrusted PB-ADV continuation data at a calculated segment offset without checking that the data fits the 65-byte receive buffer. Exposure requires the non-default Mesh build configuration; public sources establish memory corruption but not code execution.
