Denial of service via predictable dataset hashes

Denial of service in Open Information Security Foundation Suricata before 7.0.7 allows remote attackers to degrade dataset processing. Dataset hash functions use fixed DJB2-style hashing instead of the initialized thash seed, permitting chosen dataset or traffic-derived values to create predictable collision chains. Exploitation requires untrusted dataset content or dataset rules that track attacker-controlled traffic, causing excessive load time or sustained runtime slowdown.
