CVE-2024-47129

Message-length disclosure via unpadded broadcast frames

Published Sep 26, 2024 · Updated Oct 17, 2024

Observable response discrepancy in goTenna Pro App 1.61 and earlier allows physically proximate attackers to infer message lengths from radio traffic. The app broadcasts encrypted frames without adding padding characters, so each frame's size exposes the underlying payload length. Exploitation requires reception of the radio broadcast and discloses message length, not message contents or integrity.
