Privilege escalation via unauthorized physical-file attribute changes
Published Dec 18, 2024 · Updated Dec 18, 2024
Incorrect permission assignment in IBM’s integrated operating platform 7.4 and 7.5 allows remote authenticated users to control a physical file. A user authorized only for a database view can change security attributes on the based-on physical file without object-management authority. Exploitation requires authority to the view and permits actions restricted by the view’s existing privileges.
