CVE-2024-47092Network attack vector

Code execution via evaluated API responses

Published Mar 3, 2025 · Updated Mar 4, 2025

Insecure deserialization in Heinlein Support GmbH Check_MK Python API 5.0.0 through 5.8.0 allows attackers to execute code via API responses. The _api_request method passes successful Multisite API response text to eval(), causing Python to interpret attacker-controlled expressions instead of parsing data. Exploitation requires a malicious or intercepted API response to reach a client operation; executed code has the client process privileges.
