CVE-2024-47082Network attack vector

Forged GraphQL operations via default multipart uploads

Published Sep 25, 2024 · Updated Sep 25, 2024

CSRF in Strawberry GraphQL before 0.243.0 allows context-dependent attackers to submit GraphQL operations through a user session. HTTP view integrations accepted multipart form requests by default without a CSRF preflight, while the Django view also bypassed CsrfViewMiddleware. Exploitation requires an authenticated user to visit attacker-controlled content; forged operations can alter data or interrupt the application within that user account's permissions.
