Information disclosure in The Matrix.org Foundation matrix-js-sdk 9.11.0 through 34.7.0 allows remote attackers to read historical messages. MatrixClient.sendSharedHistoryKeys forwards shared history keys to every invited-user device without verifying the user's cryptographic identity or the device signature. Exploitation requires a malicious homeserver, an invitation flow, the legacy crypto stack, and a call to the affected method; Rust crypto clients are unaffected.
