CVE-2024-47068Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Cross-site scripting via clobbered currentScript lookup

Published Sep 23, 2024 · Updated Oct 29, 2024

DOM clobbering in Rollup before 2.79.2, 3.29.5, or 4.22.4 allows remote attackers to execute JavaScript through crafted HTML. Generated CJS, UMD, and IIFE URL helpers trust document.currentScript.src without verifying a SCRIPT element, so a named IMG can redirect asset resolution. Exploitation requires a bundle using import.meta or emitted assets and a page permitting attacker-controlled name or id attributes; script executes in that page's origin.
