Victim-session API access via mis-typed JSON response
Published Sep 30, 2024 · Updated Sep 30, 2024
Stored XSS in CVAT 2.4.7 through 2.18.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute API requests in another user's session. The quality-report data action returns attacker-controlled label names in an HttpResponse whose default text/html type makes embedded script markup executable. Exploitation requires task creation or edit permission and a logged-in victim who follows the crafted URL; the script inherits that victim's API access.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
