Unauthenticated form-data disclosure via unchecked mail identifier
Published Sep 17, 2024 · Updated Mar 17, 2025
IDOR in the TYPO3 powermail extension allows remote attackers to read persisted form submissions through a crafted mail parameter. FormController::createAction accepted an existing Mail object without verifying that its hash matched the request before rendering its data. The path is reachable only when submissions are stored, post-submit redirection is unset, and the submit-page text renders powermail_all or another sensitive-data variable.
