CVE-2024-47028

Local information disclosure via flash-pack integer overflow

Published Oct 25, 2024 · Updated Oct 25, 2024

An out-of-bounds read in Google Pixel bootloaders allows local users with System privileges to disclose information without interaction. In ffu.c, ffu_flash_pack uses an overflowed integer result to bound a read, allowing the read to extend beyond its intended buffer. Reaching the flaw requires local access with System execution privileges; it exposes memory data but does not alter data or interrupt service.
