Stored XSS via unescaped button element output
Published May 21, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored cross-site scripting in WP Table Builder 1.4.14 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts via button elements. The button-element.php rendering path accepts attacker-controlled button content without sufficient sanitization and emits it without adequate output escaping. Administrator access is required by default, but sites granting contributors builder access allow contributor-level users to persist scripts that execute when visitors open affected pages.
