Improper privilege management in ZITADEL allows remote authenticated users to retain unauthorized application and resource access. The user-grant deactivation path continues embedding deactivated grants in issued tokens, while management and authentication APIs report them as active or omit their state. A low-privilege account and user interaction are required; existing deactivated grants can continue authorizing protected resources.
