ASAR integrity bypass in affected Electron 30 and 31 prereleases allows local users to load modified application content from writable storage. The public advisory identifies ASAR content validation as the locus but does not disclose how a modified archive passes the embedded integrity check. Exploitation requires Windows, both embeddedAsarIntegrityValidation and onlyLoadAppFromAsar fuses enabled, and an application launched from a filesystem the attacker can write; macOS applications are unaffected.
